Parts of England and Wales left flooded after Storm Henk batters UK

UK News

Storm Henk, the first named storm of 2024, brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to large parts of the UK. Flooding in the south-west caused widespread rail disruption and violent gusts of wind brought down trees and scaffolding in London. People were asked to stay away from coastal areas hit by the storm and police advised against travel in some areas unless absolutely necessary.
