Wild accusations made by Fianna Fáil Leader
Today I take a look at the wild accusations made by Fianna Fáil leader and An Tánaiste Micheál Martin when interviewed at the recent Fianna Fáil think-in. He went on the offensive after being asked about whether Fianna Fáil and Mary Lou McDonald’s Sinn Féin could form a coalition in the next government based on current opinion polls.
Martin criticised Sinn Féin on policy, but also made the outlandish claim that the media are cheering Sinn Féin on, and went on to claim that Sinn Féin “are infecting a new generation of young people”. This claim was made in the wake of The Wolfe Tones drawing a record crowd at Electric Picnic, with the crowd singing along to the “controversial” Celtic Symphony. Coincidence? Let’s discuss!
