While some hydrogen planes exist, it could be decades before you ever step foot in one for a flight. Aircraft manufacturers like Airbus have thrown their weight behind the technology and are aiming for hydrogen planes entering service in 2035. Boeing meanwhile is more cautious over the technology.
Here’s why even though there are hydrogen planes flying today, the technology has a long and bumpy runway before takeoff.
