Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold weather warning for a large swath of southern Ontario and Quebec, as frigid temperatures are expected to hit late Thursday night. A blast of cold Arctic air will reach southern Ontario in the evening, lasting through Friday and into early Saturday, Environment Canada said.
