It’s been revealed hundreds of Chinese satellites are being deployed over Australia to track international military exercises involving the United States. Commercially produced space data shows three major Chinese satellites manoeuvred below the equator last month during exercise Talisman Sabre. Beijing has also dispatched hundreds of smaller satellites which are now focussed off Sydney Harbour during naval drills. The defence department says prudent measures are taken to safeguard information security.
