ASPI’s Michael Shoebridge says bringing “military tension” right into the middle of the South Pacific is in the “interests of none of us”.
It comes after a draft cooperation agreement between China and the Solomon Islands, which would enable greater Chinese involvement in the Pacific Islands region, was leaked online on Thursday night.
