For the 80th anniversary of the Eighth Air Force, the US Air Force and Royal Air Force came together to pay their respects to the unit’s famous history. The flypast consisted of a B-1B Lancer (flown over from the US especially), two F-15E Strike Eagles from RAF Lakenheath, and an F-35B Lightning II from RAF Marham. The video starts with the flypast initially flying over RAF Lakenheath, seen from Mildenhall. The flypast them came back via Maddingley, the US cemetry in Cambridge, and flew straight over the top of us before heading back to Lakenheath.
