Israel claimed to have struck 150 underground Hamas targets in Gaza in the heaviest aerial bombardment of the Gaza war so far. Palestinian residents of Gaza reported clashes with Israeli armour and infantry overnight in three locations in the Gaza Strip.
According to an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) spokesman’s announcement, the air strikes involving 100 Israeli jets hit combat tunnels. Israeli military spokesman said the country’s troops continued their ground operations inside the Gaza Strip.
Palestinians have been unable to reach ambulance services after Israeli bombing knocked out communications in Gaza, according to reports. Palestinians were transporting the dead and injured to hospital in their cars, Reuters reported. “Gaza is currently blacked out,” Gaza telecommunications company Paltel said, and aid agencies have been struggling to reach their teams. The communications and internet outage throughout Gaza has continued for more than 12 hours, as per reports.
