Conservationists have launched a project to create one of England’s biggest native woodlands by planting 100-thousand trees in the Yorkshire dales. One of the united kingdom’s largest-ever reforesting projects will cover an area of nearly 800 hectares, equal to around 13-hundred football pitches. Woodlands provide an important buffering effect against climate change, as well as providing resilience in affected ecosystems.
