‘They’ve lost everything’: Turbans 4 Australia President reflects on ‘surreal’ situation in Lismore

Australia News

Turbans 4 Australia President Amar Singh JP says it broke his heart to see families displaced from their homes after the Lismore floods.

Turbans 4 Australia is a volunteer charity that has supported Australians during drought, bushfires, COVID-19, and, most recently, the flood crisis in Lismore.

Mr Singh said the situation in Lismore right now is “surreal”.

“Last time I was there they said there were 5,000 houses that are condemned. That’s 5,000 families … where are they going to go?” Mr Singh told Sky News host Erin Molan.
