7 Russian warships from the Russian Pacific Fleet have been spotted near the largest US Navy base in Hawaii. According to the data presented, a group of Russian warships is located only 40-45 kilometers from the territorial waters of the Hawaiian Islands. The ship “Marshal Krylov” is also located here, which is a military reconnaissance and measuring complex, which is supposed to be used to obtain data on hypersonic missiles tested by the United States. US missile tests were scheduled for the period from 8 to 9 January of the current year.
According to the data available to the news agency Avia.pro, at the moment we are talking about the corvettes Aldar Tsydenzhapov, Sovershenny and Grozny, the BPK Admiral Panteleev, the missile cruiser Varyag, the reconnaissance and measuring complex “Marshal Krylov” and the missile frigate “Marshal Shaposhnikov”.
It is known that Russian warships are closely monitored by the US military, in particular, it is reported about (at least) three warships of the US Navy, aimed at escorting a group of Russian ships.
Earlier it was assumed that a group of Russian warships is located off the coast of Hawaii in order to practice countering American submarines, however, in all likelihood, the key goal is to track the launches of hypersonic missiles.
