Brazil beat Spain 2-1 in extra time to defend their Olympics crown. A tight yet enthralling contest finished 1-1 after 90 minutes thanks to goals from Matheus Cunh and Mikel Oyarzabal but it was Malcom’s fine finish in extra time that denied Spain a second gold in the competition and sent Brazil into unbridled joy.
